InForIntelligence B.V. (“InForIntelligence”) started a partnership with Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (“Kurita“), a corporate partner of the ‘Tech Business Camp Tokyo’ Acceleration program, ran by Accenture and held by Tokyo Metropolitan Government. InForIntelligence will use their ‘Company Scouting’ AI algorithm to strengthen Kurita’s ‘Open Innovation’ activities by sourcing and mapping companies worldwide based on the innovative needs of Kurita.
Niek Hermus and I, are back from two months in Tokyo. Why we went there? Read it in our blog regarding the ‘Tech Business Camp Tokyo ’18’, an acceleration program, where our company InForIntelligence was selected for.
Now you deserve to get a personal report on our business experiences in Japan from our point of view, two typical Dutch straightforward guys.
We are always talking about ‘Culture Gaps’ and ‘Language Barriers’ when we think of far away countries as Japan. This is no cliche at all. A great movie about this phenomena is ‘Lost in translation’ (watch it!). In this blog, I will write down the experiences we had in Japan with respect to culture gaps.

With InForIntellgence we created several unique algorithms which are capable of uncovering, mapping and eventually visualize the partnership between companies, and by this reveal the Open Innovation activity of Corporates, Markets, and whole ecosystems. We see this as innovation 3.0, not R&D innovation, not Open Innovation but Accessible Open Innovation.
We wanted to bring out what is under the radar and difficult to track. Everywhere on the net, our algorithms are looking for partnerships, think of social media, newspapers, articles and web pages. We believe in the power of making data accessible and open source, especially when it comes to innovation.
Hello world. Let me introduce myself: my name is Julien Winkel and I am co-founder of InForIntelligence. At InForIntelligence we monitor the Open Innovation activities of companies.
